Admins and Reviewers approve or return a Sign-off.
Task Reviewers can request one. Members can see them. See Roles.
A Sign-off is the four-eyes check on a Review: one person decides, and another approves before the decisions take effect. Your policies can require a Sign-off on every Review or a subset of Reviews (e.g. High risk). If they don’t, anyone working on a Review can still ask for one when they want a second opinion.

Request a Sign-off

Once every Capability on the Review has a decision, go to Decide and click Request sign-off. You can optionally add an Instruction to signer to say what you’d like them to look at. The Review is now locked and its status updates to Awaiting sign-off. It appears in the Awaiting sign-off view of everyone who can approve it.
If your policies require a Sign-off for a particular Review, Request sign-off is the only way to finish the Review: Finalize stays disabled until one is approved.
To change a decision while the request is pending, click Retract. The request is withdrawn and the Review unlocks. Removing a Capability decision withdraws the request, too.

Approve or return

Open the Review from the Awaiting sign-off tab. On Decide, under Sign-off decision, choose one of two options:

After a return

The reviewer revises the Review and requests a new Sign-off, which replaces the returned one. If your policies don’t require a Sign-off, they can also finalize without asking again. Every Sign-off stays on the Review’s Timeline with who requested it, who decided, and the notes, and is included in Due Diligence Files.

FAQ

No. Anyone with the right role can pick it up from the Awaiting sign-off view, except the person who requested it.
Not from the Sign-off. A note to the business is written by the reviewer when they decline every Capability, before requesting the Sign-off. It’s sent once the Sign-off is approved.
